We are continually meeting ourselves.
Edgar Cayce, A Search for God Book 2: 97
The lessons never end. Today Forrest, my almost 12-year-old son, caught a Wide-Mouthed Bass about 30 minutes into our fishing trip this evening. Like all the other Bass he’s caught over the last four days, this one was too small to eat. His big dilemma was how to unhook a fish once caught, and set it back into the water unharmed. Though his first aim was to catch a fish to eat, subtly the game plan has changed. He dug out an old pair of wire cutters from his fisherman’s bag and proceeded to remove the barb from the hook. He said he was tired of injuring the fish.
There is no happiness within us when we are holding an impure thought of another.
